What tips do you have, or what lessons have you learned, that would help others working to advance their careers?
In business, there are two kinds of people. People that show up and people that show off. The people that show up are the people who grow in their careers. People that show up take complete ownership of their tasks and seek to go above and beyond what is required, despite the constraints or challenges they face. They work to inspire people and help bring about desired results. By “showing up” in your role, you will naturally become the ideal candidate for growth and opportunity within your field.
What is one of the biggest challenges you have experienced in the current business climate and how have you best managed through it?
One of our biggest challenges has been access to capital, especially during times of unrest and high inflation. We mitigate these challenges by carefully managing our finances, having a healthy balance sheet, and ensuring we have enough capital to create abundance in our community. In Time Tec has a commitment to no lay-offs. We built this company to serve our employees, our partners, and our community. Being financially stable allows us to stand for our employees and stand by that promise.
As Idaho’s population continues to grow, what suggestions do you have to help maintain all that makes Idaho special?
Ultimately, people is what makes Idaho special. The connection and compassion that exists among those people is key. We need to build tools, create platforms, and put on events that help integrate influx of people and make them feel welcome in the growing Idaho community. By doing so, we will continue to maintain what makes Idaho special and transform it into a place where even more people want to be.
